Whether you are a fan of adventure, family fun, wildlife or exploring by sea, there’s a wide choice of activities to keep you entertained. Here are just a few ideas to ensure your holiday in St Brides Bay is everything you want it to be – and more.
CELTIC QUEST
From cliff jumping and scramble climbing to adventure swimming and rock hopping, Celtic Quest Coasteering offers you the chance to explore the Pembrokeshire coast at sea level. Catering for everyone from families to corporate groups, Celtic Quest can tailor an adventure to suit just about any ability. The meeting point for the activities is Abereiddy beach, near Porthgain, on the north Pembrokeshire coast.
BUG FARM
The Bug Farm, near St Davids, is a visitor attraction like no other. Based in 100 acres of Pembrokeshire’s finest countryside, it includes indoor and outdoor exhibits that showcase the wonders of bugs and what they do for us. The site is home to a bug zoo, research centre and working farm, as well as Bug Farm Foods and Grub Kitchen, the UK’s first full-time edible insect cafe/restaurant. Here you can sample the cafe’s signature bug burger and, of course, its famous cricket cookies (non-insect items are also available).
MANOR WILDLIFE PARK
Watch lemurs jump about, pet giant rabbits and hand-feed wallabies at Manor Wildlife Park, near Tenby, a walking safari that is home to exotic and endangered animals from across the world. The walkthrough exhibits allow you to come face-to-face with many of the animals, while the park has a strong conservation ethos and focuses on providing more space for its animals. Manor Wildlife Park’s other attractions include a giant bouncy castle, indoor play area and café serving handmade pizzas.
FOLLY FARM
At Folly Farm you can visit more than 750 animals in the zoo, and get up close to furry and feathery farmyard friends in the barn. The attraction, at Begelly, near Kilgetty, in Pembrokeshire, features 17 different rides in its vintage fairground, plus eight adventure play areas. In total, there’s 120 acres of fun.
OAKWOOD THEME PARK
Located in the heart of Pembrokeshire, Oakwood Theme Park is filled with thrills and adventure for children and adults alike. The park, at Canaston Bridge, near Haverfordwest, offers everything from magical experiences to adrenaline-fuelled excitement. At Oakwood you’ll find a wide choice of rides – big and small – as well as many different attractions catering for all ages.
THOUSAND ISLANDS
With Thousand Islands you can enjoy wildlife adventure boat trips to the Pembrokeshire islands of Ramsey, Skomer and Grassholm. You’ll discover magical island wildernesses coupled with the fun and excitement of a marine adventure. Ramsey Island is the site of one of the UK’s largest Atlantic grey seal colonies. Grassholm, meanwhile, is home to more than 37,000 pairs of breeding gannets, and Skomer is well known for its puffins. The boat trips leave from the RNLI Lifeboat Station at St Justinian.
Heatherton World of Activities
Heatherton World of Activities, near Tenby, is an award-winning family attraction that is open all year round. It provides entertainment for all ages, from family-friendly fun to adrenaline-pumping adventure. You can walk on water, make a splash on bumper boats, bomb around the go-kart circuit, experience the high ropes, and much, much more.
Famed for being Britain’s smallest city, St Davids is a laid-back gem. Here you’ll find an elegant 12th-century cathedral, the medieval ruins of the Bishop’s Palace, and a host of galleries and independent shops.
Featuring colourful cottages and a picture-postcard harbour, Solva is an idyllic destination for your Pembrokeshire escape. The bustling community is an ideal base for scenic walks and boat trips.
Situated between St Davids and Fishguard, the pretty fishing village of Porthgain has been used as a film location. The coastal hamlet is the perfect location for exploring the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
As well as St Davids, Solva and Porthgain, you can choose from our lovely holiday homes in other parts of scenic Pembrokeshire. One such location is Mathry, a village between St Davids and Fishguard.

Lovely, comfortable cottage in a great location. Loved surfing at Whitesands Bay and there’s a wonderful walk from Caerfai to Whitesands with excellent views. Also, the fish and chips at The Shed in Porthgain is not to be missed. St Davids is full of cafes and nice shops, the cathedral and Bishop’s Palace are well worth a visit – very peaceful.
