St Brides Bay Cottages Booking Conditions
Your reservation is a legally binding contract.
St Brides Bay Cottages Limited (the Agents) trading at Fairhaven, Anchor Down, Solva, Pembrokeshire, SA62 6TQ act as Agents for the owners of holiday accommodation (the owner) arranging and making bookings and reservations for holiday makers (the client). Each contract is therefore between the Owner and the Client and is made at the point at which the Agents issue a Booking Confirmation. The person making the booking certifies that he/she is authorised to agree to the booking conditions of all persons included in the pay and must be over 18 years.
We are local residents and therefore readily available to ensure that everything is done to make your stay enjoyable.
Booking your Holiday
Telephone bookings and enquiries are welcome on 01437 720027, seven days a week. Payment may be made by debit/credit card, bank transfer or cheque. You can also submit a booking request by visiting our website at www.stbridesbaycottages.com
A provisional booking must be confirmed with 4 days.
At St Brides Bay Cottages there are no hidden charges, or booking fees.
Deposit and Final Payment
A deposit of 25% is required for each week or short break of the proposed booking. Until a deposit is received by the Agent, any booking is provisional and may be cancelled by the Client or the Agent.
The balance is due 8 weeks before the first day of the holiday. If the Agent does not receive the balance in full by the due date, the Agent reserves the right to cancel and re-let the property concerned.
If the Client makes the booking less than 8 weeks before the start of the proposed holiday, then full payment must be made at the time of booking.
Deposits will not normally be refundable unless the booking is not confirmed by the Agent for any reason.
Cancellation by the Client
If the Client cancels a booking that has been confirmed by the Agent the Client is responsible for the total price as agreed at the time of booking. We STRONGLY recommend that you cover your holiday with an insurance policy, as should you have to cancel you will be held liable for the nitre booking value unless we manage to re-let the property.
Cancellation by the Agents
If the Agents have to cancel a booking of a specified property at any time after confirming a booking (e.g. because of fire at the property) or should the property be unavailable on the day that the holiday starts for reason outside the Agents’ control then the Agents will offer the Client the choice of:
- Another alternative property (subject to availability)
or - A full refund of the amount paid by the Client to the Agents
And the Client shall have no further claim against the Owner of the Agents.
Our flexible COVID-19 booking policy (updated September 2021)
If you book with us and your holiday can’t take place because of COVID-19 legal restrictions, we can offer you the following options, so you don’t miss out:
- Change your dates
In collaboration with our property owners, we’ll work with you to reschedule your cottage stay for a new date, with no rearrangement fee. And if the price of your new holiday is different to the original cost, the difference will either be refunded or charged to you. But if you don’t yet have an alternative date, that’s no problem because we can transfer any money you’ve already paid when you’re ready to agree a new date.
- Credit voucher
We’ll explore all options to help you rearrange your coastal getaway. But if these alternative arrangements don’t fit in with your plans, we can give you a credit voucher for the amount previously paid for your booking. This voucher must be spent on a St Brides Bay Cottages holiday that takes place before the end of 2022.
As well as the flexible options listed above, we strongly advise that you take out travel insurance that includes COVID-19 cover.
Please bear in mind that Government guidance and legislation on COVID-19 can change. Before you travel, you should check the relevant legislation and guidance that applies to you, your location, your destination, and the make-up of your party. If you believe your booking is affected by public health measures, please get in touch.
