Set in the tiny hamlet of Pen Y Cwm, a short drive from Solva and St Davids, this 4-star 3-bedroom house, is well appointed and comfortably furnished with the recent addition of a cosy log burner for holiday breaks all year round.
Ty Rhosyn benefits from a ground floor double bedroom, shower room, and a ramped access to the back door, making it very convenient for guests who may find stairs difficult. Within easy reach of Ty Rhosyn, a track joins the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and leads down to the secluded cove of Pen Y Cwm Beach, which at low tide links to the long stretch of golden sands at Newgale, very popular for water sports, surf hire shop, cafe, and pub.
Ty Rhosyn is also the ideal place if you have an interest in astronomy, because nearby Newgale beach is one of Pembrokeshire’s Dark Sky Discovery Sites. From the beach, you can enjoy a clear, unobstructed view of much of the sky, and it’s possible to see the Milky Way with your naked eye.
Enjoying a rural location between Solva and Newgale sits the small quiet hamlet of Peny Cwm, within easy access to the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and just a stone’s throw from Newgale Beach, one of Pembrokeshire’s most beautiful beaches. A two mile stretch of wonderful golden sands, backed by a pebble bank, this beach has plenty of space and is popular with everyone, from families to watersport enthusiasts, it is a particularly popular destination for surfers, kayakers, windsurfers and kite surfers with waves coming uninterrupted from the Atlantic Ocean. Facilities in Newgale include a local pub, café, and surf hire shop. There is plenty of car parking.
Plus, you’ll be in a great position for exploring the wonders of the night sky. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park’s location at the south west tip of Wales means it’s perfectly placed for avoiding light pollution. And you don’t need to be an astronomer to admire the stars above, simply wrap up warm and look up.
