Cottage

4st self catering

Few holiday cottages are as splendidly situated as this one, with stunning coastal views. The result of a barn conversion, Sŵn y Morloi cottage has retained many interesting features, which add to the traditional character of this delightful holiday let.  The cottage is fabulous in summer but also makes an excellent cosy choice for a winter break with the wood-burning stove and the traditional thick cottage walls. It makes a perfect romantic retreat for those wishing to get away from it all or a great base for walkers to explore North Pembrokeshire.

From the front, the cottage overlooks the cliffs at Pwllderi enjoying fabulous views across the sea to St Davids Head and Strumble Head, while behind is Garn Fawr – climb this rocky volcanic outcrop for magnificent views of the North Pembrokeshire Coast and enjoy sunsets over the sea which are dramatic at all times of the year. Garn Fawr is also known for its excellent dark sky viewing, as it’s possible to see the Milky Way with your naked eye from there.

In springtime the surrounding hillside and the Garn rock are covered with wildflowers and the choughs, peregrines and seals frequent the cliffs and bays surrounding this cottage. The sunsets over the sea are dramatic at all times of the year and the splendid rugged isolation of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is just a short walk away, as is the ornithological observatory at Strumble Head.

LOCATION.png

Sŵn y Morloi Cottage sits on a small holding above Pwllderi bay.

The sunsets are stunning at any time of the year and it may be possible to see the Wicklow Mountains in the distance. The wonderful rugged isolation of the coast path is just a short walk away and is an excellent location for bird-watchers and for observing seals, porpoise and wildlife in general.

The cottage is set in beautiful grounds and surrounded by footpaths with easy access to the coastal path and the many coves and bays of the spectacularly beautiful North Pembrokeshire Coast. Fishguard, Porthgain, St Davids and Newport are all within easy driving distance.

From Sŵn y Morloi, you can visit Pembrokeshire’s eight Dark Sky Discovery Sites, special places singled out as great and accessible spots where you can savour clear views of the night sky. These sites include Garn Fawr, Newgale beach, Sychpant picnic site, and Broad Haven.
