A delightful white-washed traditional Pembrokeshire cottage overlooking the Irish sea and sheltering at the foot of Garn Fawr, a rocky volcanic outcrop. The cottage enjoys outstanding views from Strumble Head to St. David’s Head.
There are views of Strumble Head and Pwllderi and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path can be joined within a few minutes walk of the cottage. You may be lucky enough to see porpoises in Fishguard Bay, where they are a regular sight.
The cottage has been thoughtfully renovated retaining many interesting architectural features whilst providing all the modern day comforts that we expect. Tal-y-Gaer is situated on a beef farm.Private garden surrounding the cottage with lawns, stone table and seating. Stone patio table and benches, deck style seating and BBQ. Ample parking on the yard adjacent to the cottage.
Tal-y- Gaer sits on a small holding, the home of the Garn Deri pedigree Welsh Black Cattle above Pwllderi bay.
The sunsets are stunning at any time of the year and it may be possible to see the Wicklow Mountains in the distance. The wonderful rugged isolation of the coast path is just a short walk away and is an excellent location for bird-watchers and for observing seals, porpoise and wildlife in general.
The cottage is set in beautiful grounds and surrounded by footpaths with easy access to the coastal path and the many coves and bays of the spectacularly beautiful North Pembrokeshire Coast. Fishguard, Porthgain, St Davids and Newport are all within easy driving distance.

Lounge/Dining Room
Entrance into the main lounge/dining room, which has a small cloakroom area. There is an open beamed ceiling, inglenook fireplace inset with a woodburning stove and a cosy settle for two. There is also comfortable seating, antique country pine furniture, CD/Radio and iPod station, flat screen colour TV, Freesat Digibox, Wifi internet and DVD.
The dining area has a beamed ceiling open fireplace, dining table and 4 chairs, window seat and occasional furniture.
Kitchen
The large galley style Kitchen has a slate floor, cream country style units with an integrated dishwasher, electric stainless steel oven and hob, microwave oven and fridge/freezer.
Utility Room
In the adjacent utility room there is an automatic washing machine, tumble drier and a belfast sink.
Bathroom
The bathroom has a white suite of bath with overhead shower fitment, WC and wash hand basin, there are floor to ceiling tiles and a pine colour washed ceiling.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, both have original wide pine floorboards with rugs and are decorated with attractive Welsh bedspreads, co-ordinating furnishings and fabrics.
On the landing there is a day bed for occasional use.
Double Bedroom
The double bedroom has sea and hill views, a kingsize iron bedstead, colour TV, double wardrobe and antique furniture.
Twin Bedroom
The twin bedroom also has a sea view and is furnished with twin beds, handmade country pine double wardrobe, chest with mirror, bedside cabinet and colour TV.
