Delightfully situated this gem of a cottage is perched on a quiet lane, half way up the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, in Upper Solva, overlooking the headland, Gribbin and beyond. Glan y Mor is a very pretty whitewashed cottage, sleeping 6, full of charm and character, which has been lovingly renovated.
The cosy comfortably furnished sitting room has a real open fire, perfect for those chillier winter Pembrokeshire evenings after a bracing walk along the cliff tops or Solva Harbour, literally straight from the door, and for the lovely sunny days of summer French doors open onto the enclosed and sheltered patio – perfect for al fresco dining and sun worshippers.
A new extension has added a beautiful spacious, light and airy master bedroom, and adjacent shower room, whilst upstairs in the original cottage are two pretty twin bedrooms and a further bathroom.
With two gardens and a sunny patio there is no shortage of places to sit, relax and unwind and enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery.
Magical, a gem, heaven on earth, picturesque, idyllic, unspoilt; just a few of the words visitors to Solva have used to describe this delightful village, which sits three miles east of St Davids on the south side of the St Davids Peninsula, in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
With its picturesque harbour and colourfully painted cottages, Solva is considered to be one of the prettiest villages in Pembrokeshire. Upper Solva enjoys magnificent views out to sea over to St Brides Bay and is within easy reach of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path for spectacular walking, whilst Lower Solva enjoys the bustling quay with plenty to do, charming high street with cafes, interesting shops and galleries, pubs and restaurants and easy access to the beach.
