Tan Y Craig is a stylishly and beautifully renovated five star four bedroom self catering holiday cottage located in the heart of the village of Lower Solva, Pembrokeshire.
Tan y Craig is perfectly situated only a stone's throw from the picturesque Solva Harbour and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and close to all amenities. It has retained its original cottage charm whilst offering every convenience for our guests.
Set over three floors, this cottage offers superb quality accommodation. Sitting room, open plan kitchen/dining, four bedrooms, shower room, bathroom and a unique open plan loft lounge, which opens directly onto a private rooftop terrace, and incorporates a stylish kitchen area specifically designed to make perfect use of this outdoor space. The cottage also has private off road parking for one car, however, more parking is available across the road in the harbour carpark.
Magical, a gem, heaven on earth, picturesque, idyllic, unspoilt; just a few of the words visitors to Solva have used to describe this delightful village, which sits three miles east of St Davids on the south side of the St Davids Peninsula, in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
With its picturesque harbour and colourfully painted cottages, Solva is considered to be one of the prettiest villages in Pembrokeshire. Upper Solva enjoys magnificent views out to sea over to St Brides Bay and is within easy reach of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path for spectacular walking, whilst Lower Solva enjoys the bustling quay with plenty to do, charming high street with cafes, interesting shops and galleries, pubs and restaurants and easy access to the beach.
Entrance
Through the side passage, secure and covered with plenty of space for boards, wetsuits, bikes and outdoor gear.

With toilet, wash hand basin and washing machine. Door leads to external hot shower.
Main Kitchen
In Tan Y Craig the nautical door, with its porthole window, opens into a beautiful fitted kitchen tastefully decorated with accents of orange. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to cook scrumptious meals to serve around the dining table. It has a large American style fridge/freezer with integrated ice maker, oven, microwave, dishwasher, belfast sink, fitted units and plenty of lovely glasses and crockery. Kitchen is open plan to the dining area, has windows to the rear of the property and is adjacent to the ground floor sitting room.

Ground floor, very comfortably furnished, TV/DVD, log burner, landline and honesty box. Stairs to first floor
Loft Lounge/Kitchen Area
French windows open up onto the private decking making it the ideal place for preparing meals alfresco or just sitting at the bar enjoying a glass of wine. An exposed natural feature stone wall provides a striking backdrop to the kitchen Loft which is tastefully decorated in keeping with the lounge.
Bedrooms
Each bedroom in Tan Y Craig is individually decorated and has 100% Egyptian Cotton bed linen. Bed linen and towels are provided for our guests.
Front Double Bedroom
This stunning double bedroom carries the nautical theme of the cottage with its exquisite Jane Churchill Oceana wallpaper, soft blue throw and matching headboard. The bed can either be used as a king-size or can be separated into two singles to provide flexible sleeping arrangements.
Rear Double Bedroom
The owners have tried to retain the original character of the cottage with a feature stone wall, which adds to the character and charm of this lovely holiday cottage. It is also furnished with a flat screen TV. The windows look out to the rear of the property and the exposed rock face covered in wild foliage.
Bunk Bedrooms
The bespoke bunk beds, all adult size, have been built into the rooms and are not freestanding. Each bed has its own bedside reading light. Once again the owners have used quirky accessories to decorate these rooms from porthole mirrors and windows to fishy coat hooks. There is storage in both rooms, one with a wardrobe and the other with curtained hanging space and chest of drawers. In the front bunk bedroom there is also a truckle bed which can be used as an additional bed, bedding and linen would be provided for this if it was used.
Shower Room
Double doors from the landing open into the separate shower room, complete with walk-in shower, wash handbasin, toilet and chrome ladder radiator, perfect.....warm and relaxing wtih a super spacious shower to revive and refresh!
Family Bathroom
The family bathroom has a delightful claw foot bathtub and separate shower, toilet, and wash handbasin.
Deck Area
Guests can spend time relaxing or enjoying alfresco dining on the private roof top decking, the hidden jewel in Tan Y Craig. With french windows opening from the loft lounge the deck is both charming and stylish in keeping with this lovely cottage. Wtih little or no light pollution to spoil the view, evenings can be spent stargazing from the roof top decking.
