Cottage

5st self cateringYr Hafan is a superb 5 star self catering holiday cottage, located up on the hill above Solva Harbour, Pembrokeshire

This luxurious characterful family 4 bedroomed house is fitted with premium grade fixtures and fittings throughout.  Although it is a very old property, it now feels like a 21st century family home with all the most modern features from the high-quality kitchen, to the electrically-operated blinds in the conservatory, to the hotel-grade chrome and travertine bathrooms with underfloor heating.  The house provides the most amazing views from every room including the conservatory so from dramatic stormy seas in winter to turquoise blue clear water in summer you can kick back, relax and enjoy.

The house is located in a stunning position overlooking Solva Harbour and St Brides Bay, surely one of the best views of coastal Pembrokeshire, in a quiet scenic area well away from the main road.  It is perfect for keen walkers, as the Pembrokeshire National Coastal Path passes close by allowing you easy access to the spectacular coastline and wildlife that the area is renowned for.  Yr Hafan has gained a keen following of repeat visitors, who have been charmed and delighted by the property and the area.

The property is within easy walking distance of the local shop & post office and a walk down the coastal path (some steps) takes you to Solva Quay where you can enjoy coffee and cake or light lunch and glass of wine whilst watching all of the harbour activity. Children will be enthralled with crabbing, swimming and the traditional local activity of jumping and diving off the quay wall at high tide.

400 yards further up the harbour walk you will find the pubs, restaurants, shops, galleries and the childrens play park, Oakwood and Heatherton amusement parks are only 30-40 minutes away by car.

Magical, a gem, heaven on earth, picturesque, idyllic, unspoilt; just a few of the words visitors to Solva have used to describe this delightful village, which sits three miles east of St Davids on the south side of the St Davids Peninsula, in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

With its picturesque harbour and colourfully painted cottages, Solva is considered to be one of the prettiest villages in Pembrokeshire.  Upper Solva enjoys magnificent views out to sea over to St Brides Bay and is within easy reach of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path for spectacular walking, whilst Lower Solva enjoys the bustling quay with plenty to do, charming high street with cafes, interesting shops and galleries, pubs and restaurants and easy access to the beach.
