Caerfai Bay

Caerfai Bay is a small rocky cove nestling between spectacular cliffs. It is the nearest beach to St Davids, popluar for swimming (PLEASE BE AWARE OF STRONG CURRENTS IN THE SEA OFF CAERFAI). At high tide the beach is only a small rocky cove, but at low tide there a sandy beach is revealed with plenty of rockpools to explore. The rocks around Caerfai are an unusual purple and were used to build St Davids Cathedral.

Access to the beach is down a steep winding path.

There are no dog restrictions on Caerfai Bay, but dogs must be kept under control. There is ample free car parking above the beach, however, there are no facililtes in the car park or on the beach.

Nearest facililites are in St Davids which is approx 1km from Caerfai Bay.

Be aware of the tides and don't get cut off by an incoming tide.

Caerfai Bay has recently been awarded the Seaside Award Rural 2015.
