Since our last blog post, we’ve been overwhelmed by your response to our plea to postpone, not cancel, your Pembrokeshire cottage holiday.

We made the appeal in response to Government measures to minimise the spread of coronavirus and protect the NHS.

But we knew you would be disappointed if you had booked a trip that was due to take place in the coming weeks, or months.

And that’s why we decided to make it as simple as possible for you to rearrange your break in scenic St Brides Bay.

Thank you for supporting Pembrokeshire

Since the article, you have shown your support by getting in touch to change the dates for your forthcoming getaway, instead of cancelling.

For that, the St Brides Bay Cottages team – together with the communities of Solva, St Davids, Porthgain and Newgale – are immensely grateful.

Not only do you still have an idyllic break to look forward to once the crisis is over. But by delaying your cottage stay, instead of abandoning it altogether, you’re helping the tourism industry in South West Wales to survive.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the stunning Pembrokeshire coast, when it’s safe to do so. And when you do arrive, you’ll appreciate our wonderful scenery, friendly residents and fantastic beaches more than ever.

Coronavirus news

The COVID-19 situation is changing daily, and earlier this week Prime Minister Boris Johnson outlined strict new measures to tackle its spread.

He said people should only leave home to exercise once a day, travel to and from work where absolutely necessary, shop for essential items, and fulfil any medical or care needs. He also ordered the immediate closure of shops selling non-essential goods.

But at least we can find comfort, in this time of lockdown and social distancing, by looking forward to returning to normality. And that could be by enjoying a cottage holiday with your loved ones, when you can spend time reconnecting after this period of separation.

Offering you flexibility

So, if you haven’t yet postponed your self-catering break with us, get in touch on 01437 720027 or to change your dates.

But please bear with us at this busy time.
