Perhaps we’re biased but we think our stretch of the Welsh coast is pretty incredible.

And it seems we’re not alone, because the spectacular Pembrokeshire shoreline recently featured in a TV series celebrating the people who live and work beside the sea in Wales.

Filmed last summer, Wonders of the Coast Path is an ITV series that offers you the chance to travel along the Wales Coast Path – without getting up from your sofa.

The six-part series, filmed by ITV Cymru Wales, sees ITV Good Morning Britain presenter Sean Fletcher explore the 870-mile Welsh coastline, from Flintshire to the River Wye.

Picture yourself in stunning South West Wales

In episode four, Sean’s journey reaches Pembrokeshire – a 186-mile section of the national route. The programme is a welcome tonic during this period of lockdown, especially if you’re missing the sights and sounds of the awe-inspiring Pembrokeshire coast.

Here, Sean meets a family who have moved to the coast to live off-grid, near Newport, and takes part in an archaeological dig to unearth the secrets of St Patrick’s Chapel, in the sand dunes overlooking Whitesands Bay.

This leg of the adventure also sees him join members of Pembrokeshire Blind Society to find out how they use sound to experience the coast, and discover baby seals at Castlemartin military firing range.
