If you’ve been following our support for the Operation Recuperation scheme, you’ll know we’ve donated free cottage stays to 26 frontline healthcare workers.

We were the first holiday rental company to team up with our kind-hearted property owners and Operation Recuperation to give away holidays to NHS staff to help them recover from the fight against COVID-19.

And we were delighted when 23 of our cottage owners stepped forward to gift 26 stays in their holiday homes on the scenic Pembrokeshire coast.

The NHS workers are now looking forward to a much-deserved seaside break with their loved ones, when the time is right.

Meanwhile, the organisers of Operation Recuperation have produced a moving and heart-warming video about their UK-wide campaign to gift stays in beautiful places to frontline healthcare providers. To date, the initiative has donated stays to 300 healthcare staff in partnership with over 100 donors.

The video – created by Mitchell Sandy for Operation Recuperation – includes the emotional reactions of some of the recipients when they were told by phone about their forthcoming holidays.

Give it a watch – and look out for us, too. But remember to have some tissues ready!
